Description **2nd / 3rd shift Compounder / Medicine Technician II I Softgels / Nutraceuticals, City of Industry, CA**

**Schedule/Shift:** 3rd shift is 9:30pm-6:00am Sun.-Thurs. AND 2nd shift 1:30pm-10:00pm Mon.-Fri.

**Summary:** As a Medicine Technician / Compounder, you will use the appropriate equipment to blend oil and/or powder raw materials together. The Medicine Technician II / Compounder is capable of compounding complex fill materials, performing particle size determination, and basic maintenance of compounding equipment.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Prepares materials for compounding into fill material.
+ Sets-up, cleans, and performs minor repair of equipment for processing operations.
+ Operates all mixing equipment.
+ Assists and leads in compounding of all types of fill material.
+ Determines particle size with appropriate equipment.
+ Performs or verifies batch record entries.
+ Responsible for training of Medicine Technician I employees.
+ Clearly and promptly reports questions, process and equipment problems to Supervisor.
+ Ensures batch records, equipment log books, and other relevant records are up-to-date.
+ Cleans and maintains processing rooms and equipment.
+ Monitors process and equipment and makes necessary adjustments to maintain batch record specifications.
+ Follows established department SOP's, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.
+ Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
+ Maintains a safe work environment and operate in a safe manner.
+ Performs related duties as assigned by Management.
**Job Requirements:**


+ High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and/or
+ Minimum 2 years' experience in an FDA regulated industry (softgel manufacturing or food industry preferred), or progressive advancement in Medicine Technician I level; or
+ Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successful perform the job.
+ Proficient skills in reading, writing, and speaking in English.
+ Excellent written and oral communications skills & techniques.
+ Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, rounding).
+ Proficiency with 10-key calculator.
+ Effective problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
+ Ability to maintain a positive, professional, cooperative demeanor, conduct, and working relationship with peers, management, employees, and other individuals that interact with this position.
+ Ability to comply, interpret and support Company policies, procedures, work rules, and protocols.
+ Ability to adapt effectively to workplace changes and new job duties/responsibilities.
+ Ability to represent the Company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
