Description **2nd shift Quality Assurance (QA) Technician - Food, Ontario, CA**

**Job Summary:** The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician is responsible for insuring the company's food safety, product quality and Quality Assurance (QA) Program.

**Schedule / Shift:** 2nd shift, Mon.-Fri., 3:00pm-12:00am. Overtime on Saturday consistently, candidate needs to be flexible to do OT when needed.

**Pay Range:** $15-$16/hr

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Insure the company's food safety, product quality and Quality Assurance (QA) Program.
+ Responsible for monitoring the company's quality processes, standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Verify HACCP, GMP's, SOP's checks are being conducted according to plant HACCP plan and processes.
+ Conducting scheduled facility observation checks.
+ Monitor product and facility temperature from receiving to shipping.
+ Apply RHD program if not in compliance.
+ Conduct organoleptic testing on raw materials and raw products throughout the entire production process.
+ Work with production to assure that all products are produced up to specification.
+ Conduct package quality inspection and quality audits and isolate product that does not meet standards.
+ Maintain highest possible house keeping standards to prevent microbial contamination, this will include light sanitation duties to prevent cross contamination during processing.
+ Demonstrate accurate and complete documentation control.
+ Take corrective action when necessary and communicate the non-compliance to QA Manager.
+ Responsible for inputting traceability information into our computer system.
+ Other duties as required.
**Job Requirements:**


+ Minimum of (one) 1 year of Quality Assurance (QA) / Control (QC) experience in Food Manufacturing
+ Experience with HACCP and GMP's.
+ Detail orientated with documentation / record keeping
+ Computer skills (Word and Excel)
+ The ability to heavy objects
+ The ability to work in cold environments.
+ Bilingual-English/Spanish Skills
+ Must be willing to work second shift, weekends and OT as needed.
