Description **2nd shift Quality Control (QC) Inspector - Medical Devices, Carlsbad, CA**

**Schedule/Shift:** 2nd shift, 3:30pm-12:00am. Must flexible to working weekends. The standard shift is Monday through Friday but will also have rotating weekends involved.

**Pay Range:** $16+/hr. depending on experience

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Inspects materials and products, for conformance to specifications, using fixed or preset measuring instruments. Samples and tests receiving, first article, in-process and finished products.
+ After measuring samples, inspectors compare their findings against customer and/or company standards. If a problem exists, inspectors suggest changes in production methods.
+ Ensures materials and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not irregular or damaged. Accepts or rejects the products inspected.
+ Provides quality service to deliver defect-free, competitive products to customers on schedule and to their requirements meeting or exceeding customer's needs and expectations.
+ Document inspection activities and provide required input to manager and other personnel.
+ Maintain accurate records and data of the findings.
+ Performs duties to ensure adherence with the Quality Manual Procedures for QC Dept.
+ Responsible for training the Quality Control (QC) Inspector personnel, class C.
+ Performs other duties as may be periodically assigned.
**Job Requirements:**


+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Two (2) to five (5) years of Quality Control (QC) experience, specifically conducting visual and dimensional inspections
+ Good communication and written skills, both written and verbal, and good eyesight
+ Able to read blueprints
+ Knowledge of standard inspection and test equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, CMM).
+ Good understanding of Excel, Word, and Outlook

**Physical Demands:** While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
