**Kelly Services** is looking for a **2nd shift Supervisor** for a Manufacturing Company.


Communicates, organizes, and supervises all production tasks, equipment, product and processes to maintain or exceed production targets while firmly ensuring:

1. A safe working environment for all assigned staff.

2. All quality standards and procedures are followed to create conforming product to customer criteria.

3. Ensure personnel perform all assigned duties in accordance with the policy, business direction, needs and regulations of the company.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensure all safety policies are adhered to by assigned staff.

Ensure all quality policies and procedures are adhered to by assigned staff.

Review and complete all shift-paperwork in accordance to the EQS.

Examines materials and products at various stages of processing for conformance to specifications; initiate reaction plans when non-conformances are identified.

Plan, coordinate and distribute daily working assignments to assigned staff (verbally or orally), in accordance with management direction for Production Planning.

Complete visual management audits and walkthroughs of production environment to ensure each all people and equipment are working at optimum conditions; correct any nonconformances found.

Compute amounts of stock and supplies required for operation and requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.

Oversee training of new employees.

Monitor and delegate production schedules, attendance and shift coverage.

Study set standardized procedures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, operator ergonomics and efficiency of subordinates.

Study production schedules and understand alternative production plans based on unforeseen downtime, product mix changes and our customer priority/demands.

Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.

Maintain downtime and production records.

Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties.


Directly supervises up to 45 employees in some departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employee; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
