Description **Job Description**

Kelly Services is looking for motivated College Grad to join a large production facility in Suffolk Virginia as a Quality Control Manager for the third shift. This is a great opportunity for a recent college grad looking to get a foot in the door with a large company.

Daily verifies scales

- Performs color testing on Agtron

- Performs moisture test on Process Sensor

- Grinding test on Coulter

- Perform oxygen, bean breakage, vacuum and leaker test

- Through cupping, performs sensory evaluations on finished product/roaster samples for approval

- Operate X-ray Machine

- Enters test results into E-1 system

- Prints and reviews Mettler weight report

- Places out of spec coffee on hold

- Ability to administer all point of the specification process

- Perform sensory approval of finished products and roaster samples

- Operates the CEM for soluble solids

- Operates the pH Meter

- Maintain retention records and samples

- Interface with production personnel

- Attend and participate in daily production meeting, weekly team meeting and any other plant personnel meetings

- Meet with coworkers as necessary to discuss production issues and workflow

- Ensure GMP and Safety policies are being followed.

- Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, and assume accountability for job responsibilities

- Ability to adhere to and follow all GMP processes and policies

- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Knowledge

**Requirements**

- Frequent lifting, bending, walking and standing for long periods of time with ability to work indoors in a non climate controlled environment

- Must be able to meet physical, environmental, and mental requirements outlined on Job Specifications either with or without accommodation

- Ability to lift up to and including 25lbs

Education:

- 4 year Degree in related Science Field preferred

- High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

- Minimum of three (3) years- experience as an inspector in food, chemical, agricultural or manufacturing facility.

- Previous sensory and taste skills.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

- Basic math ability required

- Requires shift work with flexibility in hours worked

- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

- Ability to use PC and widely used software packages, spreadsheets (Excel), word processing (MS Word), etc.

- Ability to work independently as well as maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of the organization (both inside and outside the company).

- Demonstrate ability to communicate with co-workers verbally and in writing in a clear and logical manner.

- Demonstrate ability to work independently, as well as willingness to work with and assist others.

- Promote teamwork and function as a team player.

- Demonstrate ability to train and motivate others.

- Demonstrate ability to make sound business decisions after weighing options carefully.
