**3rd Shift, Quality Technician, Food - South Gate, CA**

**Shift:** 3rd; Tuesday-Friday; 5:15PM- 5AM

**Position Type:** Temp-To-Hire


This position is responsible for managing the quality testing program, including the testing of quality attributes. creation and distribution of quality analysis reports and the continuous improvement of production processes based on findings from quality analysis and statistical analysis.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Manage, create and distribute analysis reports on a routine basis. Tests include PH, Brix, weights, viscosity, etc.

+ Monitor the compliance of processes and associated records to company standard operating procedure requirements. Report findings to Manger and assist in problem solving.

+ Manage on-time closure of assigned deviations and CAPAs.

+ Document results of new procedures after implementation to show quality improvements.

+ Write and implement test procedures to obtain the defect information needed for analysis and report findings from test and inspection data to management.

+ Analyze quality inspection data to identify trends and perform root cause analysis.

+ Assist in collecting and reporting weekly and monthly Quality KPI reports, e.g., First Pass Quality, Complaints, NCR, Deviations, and others as assigned.

+ Lead and participate in employee quality training.

+ Maintain documents for Audits.

+ Create new processes or modify and improve current processes by setting up clear and definite quality systems and SOPs.

+ Oversee deviations and change management process

+ Change controls and hold investigations on assigned CAPAs

+ Support continuous improvement of an FDA and SQF complain quality system.

+ Manage the trial requests to be executed on production lines and assist R&D on scale up process

+ Adhere to company GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety procedures, and all other quality processes


+ Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Enginering or related field.

+ 1-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
