Description Accounting Clerk I - Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable - Kent, WA COMPANY OVERVIEW: a fast growing specialty beverage manufacturer since 1972, the company has over 500 SKUs of products and is looking for a dynamic, energetic and committed candidate.

GENERAL SCOPE: This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for all accounts payable/receivable transactions entry. The person will be the sole resource for payables/receivables, aging, and associated records/files maintenance, and will be the primary contact for vendor/customer AR/AP departments. The team is a group of motivated individuals who are dedicated to serving our customers and having our products increase their global reach. We re moving extremely fast, and every day will offer the chance to learn and grow professionally, contributing directly to the success of the organization.

The following are the primary responsibilities for the AP/AR position: Input of all vendor bills and creation/emailing of customer invoices. Prints all AP/AR reports and maintains all accounts payables files, including obtaining and maintaining all necessary 1099 and W-9 documents. Match all vendor bills to purchase orders and receiving documents. Reconcile vendor statements and bills. Preparation and review of AR and AP aging, recommending vendor bills needing payment. Maintain Excel tracking sheets of imported goods, logging and matching POs with shipment manifest information, expected arrival dates, and payments needs. Coordinate with customs brokers and trucking companies to ensure timely release from ports and delivery to our receiving department. Manages credit card payments of bills to select vendors. Assist customer service department with running credit cards. Other duties as needed/assigned.

Required Experience 5 years experience in AP or AR role. Experience in manufacturing environment preferred .

Knowledge, Skills Abilities: Able to work under limited supervision. Associate degree, Bachelors degree, or commensurate experience. Good verbal communication and attention to detail. Experience using Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Word. Experience with ERP software GP Dynamics preferred . Understanding of accounting/bookkeeping principles. Verbal and Writing Fluency in English. Good math skills. Comfort with taking direction and constructive coaching. Authorized to work in the US.
