Length: April 2018 - October 2018 (likely to extend)
Schedule: M-F, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Rate: $16 - $18 per hour

**Position Purpose & Key Customers:**
To provide research, analysis and resolution on the more complex accounts receivable postings as well as ensuring all payments have been processed daily and communicating any unapplied payments to Order Settlement team. Provide backup and support for the accurate and timely application and reconciliation of customer payments.
Key customers include the business and financial management, order settlement teams and customer service representatives for the following divisions and their customers: Consumer, KCP (including Partnership Products, Secondary Products, DIY).

**Scope & Accountabilities**
The incumbent receives work direction from the Team Leader – Accounts Receivable and requires independent analysis, extensive system knowledge, and understanding of business processes to ensure proper judgment is exercised in the application of customer remittances.
The position is responsible for the accurate and timely application of customer payments. These payments are made via EFT, Fed Wire and lockboxes for domestic and international customers. Collaboration is often required with the Order Settlement team members to recognize and resolve order settlement issues. The consequences of cash application errors or delays can have huge order settlement and working capital impact.
Due to the complexities of cash application in SAP R3 the learning curve for this position is long and extensive instruction is required. When fully trained, this position works with relative independence other than matters of an exceptional or unusual nature.

**Main Challenges/Accountabilities of the position are:**

+ Research, corrections and resolution of questionable receivable items needs to be done completely and timely in order to ensure that the Accounts Receivable system is accurate.
+ Research can often be difficult due to system complexity, linked accounts and Autocash induced transactions that create multiple lines per item.
+ Monitor system tables and data to ensure that obsolete and inaccurate records are purged on a timely basis.
+ Continually evaluate the processes and systems utilized and prepare well researched recommendations for enhancements.
+ Responsibilities must be completed in accordance with applicable procedures, policies and CFI’s.
