Description Kelly Financial Resources is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable/ Credit Specialist for one of our top clients in South Orange County.

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist placed with Kelly Services, you will serve as an integral member of our client’s accounting and finance team. Primary responsibilities will include: Accounts Receivable and credit/ collections responsibilities along with building a relationship with dedicated customers and you will perform account reconciliations daily and perform various clerical duties, i.e., make copies, file documents, etc.

Additional Job Responsibilities Include:


+ Credit and Collections responsibility for managing all delinquent accounts for the purpose of collecting past-due balances.
+ Evaluates quality of accounts receivable and assigns risk factors by generating reports and conducting credit reviews. Assesses credit practices and recommends changes in procedures and policies. Performs a variety of tasks.
+ Release credit holds, while coordinating throughout the day with customer service & shipping departments.
+ Create research and develop credit file for new accounts including market area served, credit line, terms and Rep agency assignment.
+ Collect payments on past due accounts / bills.
+ Create a list of people who have not made payments.
+ Call customers using telephone.
+ Ensure all customer information is correct, including phone numbers and addresses.
+ Process credit card payments on as needed
+ File and create master files for all customer accounts.
+ Responsible for light Collections activity and ability to research discrepancies.
+ Generate and apply debit notes and credit notes
+ Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles
+ Provide thorough documentation of customer interaction within accounting system.
+ Communicate significant account changes to appropriate parties in a timely manner.
+ Compile account data and submit reports to the AR Supervisor regularly.
+ Research account disputes on all payments, credits, chargebacks etc.
Job Requirements:


+ High School diploma required
+ 3-4 years of accounting experience
+ Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
+ Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, and vendors and third parties
+ Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
+ Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management
+ Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
+ Demonstrated knowledge of the a) system dictionaries and b) building and best practice.
+ Strong data entry skills
+ Proficient computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications
+ 10-key calculator experience necessary
+ Strong communication and customer service skills both written and verbal
+ Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
+ Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
+ Must be able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
+ Works well in team environment and is detail oriented
+ High level of initiative and professionalism
+ Basic mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills
+ Ability to handle multiple assignments or projects simultaneously
