Kelly Services is currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant for our client, one of the world’s leading equipment and manufacturing companies, at its location in Dubuque, Iowa. This assignment is paying $17.62 per hour and tentatively starts April 2018 until April 2021.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedules meetings, coordinates travel arrangements, and maintains appointment calendars on behalf of department managers or supervisors; may coordinate meeting amenities (i.e. refreshments, etc.).

• Gathers, creates, maintains and/or summarizes potentially sensitive or confidential data from various sources in order to complete reports and special projects and/or provide timely information to various customers

• Managing office supplies and shared resources including conference rooms, help organize group meetings, arranging travel for employees, typing letters

• Preparing PowerPoint presentations and simple spreadsheets

• Planning group or department activities, and monitoring office organization and cleanliness.

• May create and maintain sensitive department records; uses data to prepare letters and memoranda at the direction of the supervisor or for supervisor's signature, and prepares documents for distribution. Conveys supervisor's instructions and requirements to others, and exchanges information with senior managers on the supervisor's behalf.


• 2- Or a 4-year degree with 2+ years of experience preferred. High school diploma/equivalent with 2+ years of experience in an administrative support role is required.

• Must be able to problem solve and work with remote or limited guidance on occasion.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word and Outlook) required

• Must possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

• This individual will be supporting 12 managers in the Supply Management department; these managers collectively oversee the department of about 230 people.

• Candidates must be highly organized, be able to follow written and verbal instructions, and have worked independently in previous positions.

• Candidate must understand how to be proactive – must know what to do for the day without the tasks being laid out for him/her.

• Schedule can fall between the hours of 7am-4:30pm

• Previous experience with ordering office supplies, managing travel for multiple people, booking rooms and conferences, managing expense reports, and scheduling catering.

Term of Assignment

• Long Term Tentative Start Date: April 2018 through April 2021

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st shift 7am-4:30pm.
