Kelly Services is looking for an awesome Administrative body to perform admin and receptionist duties in the office of one of our very valued clients.

Payrate: $20 per hour

Schedule: M-F, 8 am to 4 pm

Duration: TTH - 3 to 6 months, then permanent

Dress: Business casual


Within the Finance and Administration Department, the Administrative Assistant (KCS) will provide general administrative support to SODO leadership, under supervision of the Business Manager. This includes answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, and supporting clients and visitors. They will carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, email management, scanning etc. They will also assist with financial and other general reporting.


High school completion or equivalent required; some college preferred

2 years minimum experience in 2 or more of the following fields: office administration, Customer Service, Calendar Management, File Management,

Excellent demonstration of skills using Microsoft Office and Excel


An ability to engage with diverse populations in a respectful and culturally responsive manner

Demonstrates a commitment to the values of equity and inclusion by honoring diverse characteristics and expressions of personal identity

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure

Must have excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on effectively working in a team environment and with a diverse population

Must be willing and able to adhere to Salvation Army policies and procedures

Must complete and adhere to Protecting the Mission requirements and guidelines including the ability to pass a TSA background check

Ability and willingness to keep information confidential

Must be detail oriented and can prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Must be a self-starter and able to work well independently

Strong use of the English language in verbal and written communication

Excellent telephone skills

Excellent typing skills

Experienced and knowledgeable in business protocols

Strong mathematical skills


Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel

Working knowledge of standard office equipment such as copy machine, fax machine, multiple phone line system, printers, etc.


Collect, distribute, and coordinate mail and deliveries

Answer phones and directs calls to various programs

Manage General voicemail, check, and forward messages as necessary

Maintain office faxes, checking and forwarding messages appropriately.

Act as point of contact for internal and external clients

Provide general support to Client Service Team

File management including achieving

Troubleshoot issues and coordinate repairs on office equipment

Responsible for maintaining and ordering office supplies and Kitchen supplies

Maintain and update local contact information

Maintain meeting room calendar

Manage and trouble shoot IT issues for new staff and machine malfunctions as needed

Perform other administrative functions as requested by Supervisor


Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis

Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead

Ability to operate telephone

Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes)

Ability to access and produce information from a computer

Ability to understand written information
