**Analytical Chemist, Concord, CA**



**6 month Temp to Hire**



**Salary: $75k-80k depends on experience**



**Immediate Need!**



The individual will be working in the Analytical Chemistry laboratory analyzing raw materials, medical devices, biological and pharmaceutical client samples as well as developing and validating methods under supervision.



Duties:



Development of chromatography methods in HPLC and GC involving several detection processes including MS, FID, TCD, HS-FID.




+ Development of stability indicating methods for pharmaceutical formulations.




+ Perform testing of raw materials and medical devices, biological and pharmaceutical samples per client requirements and/or regulatory requirements (ICH, USP or EP).

+ Write protocols, SOP and final client reports.

+ PM and troubleshooting of analytical systems in accordance with SOP and maintenance schedules.

+ Ensures compliance to GMP/GLP by following the MQA established Quality System.



Requirements:




+ Excellent hands-on knowledge of chromatography techniques (HPLC, LC-MS, GC-FID, GC-TCD, GC- etc.) wet chemistry, FT-IR and product quality control.

+ Full understanding and hands-on knowledge of the USP, EP, JP and ICH requirements for raw materials and finished product.

+ Experience developing, validating and implementing analytical assays for GMP materials and finished product.

+ Troubleshooting of analytical system components including; HPLC columns, GC columns, GC inlets, Flame ionization detectors, mass selective detectors, electrospray ionization, roughing pumps, high pressure pumps, etc.

+ Knowledge of cGMP regulations, practices, and trends pertaining to testing of biopharmaceuticals, raw materials and finished product.

+ Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

+ Excellent statistical analysis for analytical chemistry.

+ Legal to work in the US for any company.

+ Able to make decisions independently and effectively.

+ Good working knowledge of MS Office specifically Excel and Word.



Basic Qualifications:




+ B.S. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemistry. B.S in other science discipline acceptable with very strong chemistry experience.

+ 5-8+ years of biopharmaceutical/ life sciences experience in GMP quality control testing or analytical (chromatography) method development.
