Immediate opportunity for an Analytical Chemist to work with a nutraceutical, analytical testing laboratory located in Garden Grove, CA. We have two (2) immediate needs!

**Summary:** The Analytical Chemist under direction and supervision participates as a project team player in analytical testing including wet chemistry, UV/Vis, HPLC, UPLC, GC, LC-MS. Performs supervised research on assigned projects including method development validation. Identifies, analyzes, and suggests corrective actions to optimize laboratory operations, technology, and regulatory compliance.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Operates general analytical instrumentation including HPLC, UPLC, GC, and LC-MS; analyzes data, calculates and reports results.
+ Analyzes botanical ingredients, finished products and other samples as directed.
+ Performs wet chemistry UV/Vis analyses; prepares volumetric solutions, test solutions, and maintain solutions including a solution stability program.
+ Maintains excellent documentation controls to ensure data integrity.
+ Executes assigned projects and activities in compliance with SOPs, GDP, cGMP, FDA, and DEA regulations and guidelines.
+ Maintains appropriate documentation of records, logs, and laboratory notebooks as required by SOPs and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Maintains and peer reviews laboratory notebooks per GDP.
+ Maintains inventory of supplies and chemicals. Disposes of lab waste in accordance with company policies.
+ Ensures the cleanliness, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and work area to ensure compliance with all company policies, SOPs, GLP, and cGMP. Ensure lab is audit ready at all times.
+ Ensure necessary consumables, chemicals, and standards are available to meet client requirements.
+ Troubleshoot and repair instruments as necessary.
+ Performs appropriate administrative functions to assure compliance with government regulations, cGMPs, GDP, ISO 17025, and company policies including editing and reviewing departmental SOPs as needed.
+ Other duties projects as assigned including method development, verification, and validation.
+ Adherence to company core values and business goals.
+ This position is responsible for duties throughout the entire lab.
**Job Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemistry
+ Minimum 3 years direct hands-on quantitative HPLC experience required; competent in general Analytical Chemistry
+ Minimum 2 years experience with Waters Empower software required.
+ Experience with natural products in a cGMP/FDA regulated lab strongly preferred. Natural products or Dietary Supplements industry-related experience a plus.
+ Experience working with a cGMP quality management system strongly preferred.
+ Understanding of ISO 17025 standard, 21CFR part 11, and regulatory compliance.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
