Description **Analytical Chemist, Chatsworth, CA**

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Analytical Chemist to work with a growing nutraceutical company located in the north Los Angeles / San Fernando Valley area.

**Pay Range:** $25-30/hr+; DOE

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Performs analytical testing on raw materials, in- process and finished products as assigned.
+ Create original SOPs and revise existing ones for compliance with cGMP.
+ Performs out-of-spec investigation reports (OOS) for analytical testing of raw materials and finished products.
+ Prepare, and review analytical test results reports.
+ Operates and maintains laboratories instruments and equipment, and performs Qualification / Validation according to SOPs.
+ Develop and validate new analytical methods.
+ Initiate the shipment and tracking of samples sent for contract laboratories.
+ Responsible for all administrative tasks associated with the purchase of laboratory supplies and maintenance program.
+ Responsibility to train and monitor lab technicians.
+ Implement cGLP within the laboratory
+ Participate in the laboratory hazardous communication program.
+ Maintains safe, organized and clean work environment.
+ Performs special projects as assigned.
**Job Qualifications:**


+ Bachelor's degree (BS) in Chemistry or Biochemistry
+ Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in an analytical lab with hands on experience with HPLC and two or more of the following: ICP, FTIR, wet chemistry, TLC, UV/VIS.
+ Ability and experience to develop HPLC methods.
+ Full knowledge and understanding of cGMP.
+ Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
**Additional Preferred Skills and Training:**


+ Good Computer skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
+ Knowledge of Dietary supplement cGMP, FDA regulations and USP Monographs is highly desirable.
