Description Kelly Services has partnered with a Fortune 500 company that is looking to fill an **Analytical Sciences intern role** in **West Chester, PA** . Seeking an undergraduate or graduate student with major in chemistry, biochemistry, bio-engineering, pharmaceutical or equivalent, with hands-on experience in an analytical lab setting.

CMC Biologics combines the financial stability of a large company with a small-company mentality emphasizing scientific-rigor and creativity within a late-stage development context. Currently, we have an exceptional opportunity for an Analytical Development Summer Intern in the Analytical Sciences division.

**Job Responsibilities:**

**Assay Automation by Bravo:**


+ Learn to how to operate Bravo and program instrument settings
+ Test the feasibility of an automated ELISA assay (for CxCR2 for example) by optimizing antigen capture, antibody product incubation and the colorimetric reaction.
+ Make go/no go decision
+ Optimizing HCP immune-PCR assay at King Fisher
+ Run sensitive HCP immune-PCR assay at King Fisher instrument using Thermo kit and reagents
+ Conjugate HCP antibody to magnetic beads and test assay comparability
+ **Stretch goal:** conjugate oligo nucleotides to HCP detection antibody, design qPCR primers and probe, and test assay comparability.
+ Present results to CMC Analytical and to the summer intern poster
**Qualifications** :


+ Undergraduate or graduate student with major in chemistry, biochemistry, bio-engineering, pharmaceutical or equivalent;
+ Basic analytical chemistry lab skills and understanding of analytical method development;
+ Ability of data processing and interpretation and presenting in group/department meetings;
+ Good oral and written communication skills;
+ Cooperative, independent, self-motivated, and multi-tasking.
