**Applications Development Scientist**

San Diego, CA

**Your Tasks:**

You assist in gathering and interpreting user/system requirements for the application development process. Your responsibilities include analyzing, designing, building, testing, implementing and/or maintaining multiple system applications for clients as they relate to assigned product lines.

You assist in design and code applications to functional and technical programming standards.

You work with team to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

You may assist in designing experiments

You perform experiments to investigate novel applications using company products

You assist with development of custom processes, validating methods, and performing release testing of applications development projects

You assist in troubleshooting for our Technical Support team and capture lessons learned and document internal knowledge base of technologies

You author and review development reports, method validation protocols and reports for review

You perform test methods and SOPs.

You follow SOPs and laboratory guidelines for daily laboratory operations and functions and develop continuous improvements.

You produce technical content and materials for internal and external users of custom processes.

You conduct experiments, accomplish established milestones and summarize data, interpret results and draws conclusions.


PhD. or M.S. in Cell Biology, Immunology, Hematology, Molecular Biology, or in a similar scientific field

2 years experience in an Application Development position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have a solid background in biological sciences, immunology, and gene therapy. Flow Cytometry experience is necessary.

Knowledge of US FDA regulations, as well as experience in clinical immunology, cellular therapy or blood banking/processing is a plus.

Experience with CRM databases, Jira or other agile project management software, and programming software and processes (Python, C++) a plus.

Knowledge of liquid handling platforms, C# and visual basic a plus

Strong interpersonal skills with an eagerness to support colleagues in Research and Process Development.
