Description Kelly Services is seeking an **AR and Collection Representative** for a healthcare company located in Ayer, MA. **This is contract-to-hire opportunity.**

**SUMMARY:**

The AR and Collection Specialist is a professional who supports the finance organization with various duties related to Customer/Patient set-up, maintenance and collections. This position requires the ability to interact with all employees and to collect and disseminate information relative to the company’s operating procedures and goals. This position requires regular attendance in the Ayer office.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** :


+ Manage credit approval and set-up of all new accounts in OMS and QuickBooks
+ Update and maintain customer/patient database (the “Spreadsheet”)
+ Review authorizations, benefits and SCAs obtained by Client Services ahead of the patient ordering
+ Assist Client Services and Reimbursement team with questions and/or issues specific to insurance companies
+ Manage collections -

+ Verifying claims are processed correctly

+ Contacting insurance companies to reprocess claims that were not processed correctly

+ Resolving issues by verbal or written appeals

+ Manage customer/patient credit hold process

+ Collection of patient deductibles, co-pays and obtaining reimbursement of payments made to the member directly

+ Manage the credit process for discounts and returns

+ Manage the credit process for accounts deemed uncollectible

+ Process payments by credit cards and oversee cash receipt application and creation of deposits
+ Assist with month end/year end closings
+ Other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:**


+ High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration a plus.
+ At least three years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
+ Clear written and oral communications skills required
+ Punctuality, a strong work ethic and an eagerness to share and communicate with the team are musts
+ Must maintain information security with regard to all company’s proprietary information
