**Job Title:** **Assay Development Scientist (MA)**


**Overview:**


Company was founded over 30 years ago and has grown to be a global leader in workflow solutions and automation designed to help pathology laboratories and researchers shorten the time between biopsy and diagnosis. Our client is seeking an Assay Development Scientist who will be responsible for supporting and executing the development of cell-based diagnostic assays in collaboration with top biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. **Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:**


+ The Scientist will be responsible for performing required laboratory studies, recording own observations, preparing documents, reporting data, and providing results to support key decisions within the Pharma Partnerships business unit.

+ Work closely with other talented Scientists to plan and execute feasibility, development, and verification studies to support the development of diagnostic assays.

+ Author low to moderately complex technical protocols and reports in accordance with design control process

+ Prepare reagents to execute experiments, conduct automated testing, and scan stained slides for data reporting using Companys imaging equipment

+ Perform routine data entry and analyze/graph data to report results to the project team.

+ Work closely with R&D Technical Leads to ensure deliverables are achieved according to the project plan through appropriate scheduling of work and communication on status of assigned tasks

+ Present results, conclusions, and recommendations to pharmaceutical partners, as needed, to support Technical Project Lead.

+ Ensure all work is appropriately documented in laboratory notebooks, forms, and/or spreadsheets in accordance with documentation procedures

+ Communicate and collaborate effectively within project team and across global business functions


**Education/Experience Requirements/Competencies** **:**


+ Legally authorized to work in the job posting Country.

+ A bachelors degree with at least 3+ years of assay development experience.

+ Outstanding writing skills with advanced proficiency in the MS suite of products

+ Ability to work in a regulated environment in which diagnostic assays are developed, commercialized, and supported (i.e., FDA QSR, ISO 13485, etc.)

+ Excellent communication skills with an ability to evaluate and concisely articulate scientific issues and contribute to the implementation of solutions

+ Experience in statistics and statistical analysis software is preferred.
