Description Our client in **Monmouth Junction, NJ** is looking for an experienced Assembler of at least 3 years of relevant experience to assist their operations in their Medical Devices facility. **Pay rate is $15-17.00/hr. This shift is 1st shift, 6:00am-2:30pm (must be available to work overtime and shift might change so candidates with availablity through 6pm is highly preferred).**

Job Description: The Seasoned Assembler will provide assistance and training to lower level employees. They will work under limited supervision, with no instruction needed on routine work and general instructions given on new activities. Must thoroughly know operating equipment and establish operational procedures. Will perform a wide variety of non-routine clerical tasks and may support special projects or assignments in distribution center.

Other duties: Performs activities requiring considerable judgment and may have ownership of minor projects in manufacturing/production operations or distribution center. Work may include non-routine activities related to new lines of work or special assignments. Has extensive knowledge of department products and systems. Must be comfortable providing guidance and coaching to other employees. May have full responsibility for minor projects.

Position Duties:


+ Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
+ Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions.
+ Sets initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
+ Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
+ May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
+ May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
+ Provides support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products.
+ May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
+ Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines, with higher levels recommending and/or making adjustments to methods and processes.
+ May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products in distribution centers
+ Other duties as assigned
Education, Skills and Experience Needed to Perform Position Function:


+ High School Diploma, or equivalent 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing assembly in a regulated industry or similar experience
+ Intermediate computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint - Able to work and understand computer applications with a minimum of assistance and training
+ Demonstrated proficiency in leading others in a production, regulated environment
+ Shows high level of awareness of complying to QMS and work processes and models compliance
+ Demonstrated success in assembly of small components
Desirable Qualifications to Perform Position Function:


+ 4+ years’ experience in manufacturing assembly in a regulated industry Prior Team Lead, Supervisory, or Leadership experience
+ Demonstrated ability to positively communicate and influence others
+ Ability to be flexible and effectively work with various learning styles and cultural differences
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships
Physical Requirements Needed to Perform Position Functions:


+ Stand / sit / walk up to 8 hrs/day
+ Perform experiments at bench height
+ Moderate lifting / bending stretching to support test apparatus setup / teardown
+ Use computer and phone and participate in meeting
