**Assembly Line Manufacturing Engineer (Shop Floor Contract Position) - New Bern, NC 28562**


Kelly Services has partnered with the #1 Faucet Brand in North America with worldwide brand recognition and we are currently seeking a contract manufacturing engineer with assembly-line experience at a manufacturing plant in New Bern, North Carolina.



In this role, you will perform as the engineering resource in support of the daily manufacturing/assembly need, ensuring the obtainment of productivity and quality key performance indicators (KPI).



**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**




+ Lead disciplined problem-solving activities and provide process and quality engineering support to the manufacturing/assembly and maintenance teams to solve product, equipment, and process-related issues.

+ Responsible for conducting assessments and ensuring risk priority scores (RPS) meet specified standards.

+ Perform advanced planning activities, including participation in design reviews and FMEAs, develop standard work documents, author and manage control plans and shop floor quality documents.

+ Support New Product Development activities in terms of product, process, and quality qualifications.

+ Identify and implement engineered solutions and recommend design changes to prevent manufacturing/assembly and quality issues.

+ Monitor and adjust line capacities in response to significant confirmed volume changes





**Qualifications/Education/Experience:**




+ Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering preferred, or related field.

+ Experience in high volume, progressive assembly or manufacturing.

+ Experience with new product introductions, process improvements, error proofing, tool, and fixture design, project management, manual processes, semi-automated processes, automated processes, and cellular manufacturing.

+ Demonstrated data analysis and disciplined problem-solving skills resulting in quality\process improvements

+ Able to perform required data analysis of process audits, first-pass yield, and outgoing quality defects with the ability to systematically improve product and process issues.

+ Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, & Outlook) and have the ability to develop presentations and communicate to management.

+ Preferred knowledge of formal problem-solving methodologies.

+ Skilled in the use of Outlook and e-mail, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, MS Project and Minitab experience is preferred.
