Kelly Services is looking for an EXPERIENCED Assembly Supervisor! This is a DIRECT HIRE position!

Pay: $55K to $60K DOE

Type: Direct Hire!

Schedule: Day shift; Monday through Friday, Day Shift. Day Shift can run 6:45 am to 3:15 pm or even 5:45 am to 3:15 pm depending on work load

Job Description:

**Summary:** The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of assembly line employees. They will assign assembly employees to specific tasks or stations, monitor processes to ensure that employees perform them correctly, and monitor the entire assembly process to prevent delays and provide instruction. The Assembly Supervisor is required to ensure that individual assembly units work together and effectively communicate to prevent delays.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to carry out essential job functions, included but not limited to:

+ Review work orders, product specs, and blueprints for scheduled work assignments within the department on the basis of priority and worker skill.

+ Assign duties to department group leaders to coincide with current production schedules and ensure work is performed in a safe and qualified manner.

+ Oversee and ensure that all safety rules are being followed at all times

+ Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the employees

+ Recruit, hire, mentor, manage and train employees Create strong, cohesive teams through recruiting, hiring, mentoring and training employees to focused on continuous improvement, waste identification/ elimination and sustained levels of performance

+ Emphasis on the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment including training on safety gear and procedures

+ Develop and oversee quality standards by conducting quality control and monitored product on assembly line.

+ Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on-site quickly and amicably

+ Report production status to supervisor

**Qualifications:** To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

**Education and/or Experience:** High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience. Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to safely operate a forklift and other mechanical equipment.

**Language:** Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

**Mathematical Skills:** Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to read and comprehend measuring tools such as a tape measure.

**Reasoning Ability:** Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

**Other Qualifications:** Must be willing to learn and practice continuous improvement techniques. The ability to participate and lead in a team-oriented environment with the willingness to assist and train others. Demonstrate safe behavior and support department/plant safety goals in a continuous improvement process. Able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends before and after schedule as needed. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence, as well as speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

**Work Environment:** The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee is regularly exposed to outdoor climates.
