  • Provide Clinical Supports to Individuals in Residential and Employment Day Programs by conducting Functional Assessments, writing Behavior Plans, providing Clinical Trainings and Modeling Interaction Skills consistent with Positive Behavioral Supports.
  • Respond to Clinical Emergencies in person or via phone if necessary.
  • On-Call availability after business hours and on weekends on a rotating schedule.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Staff supervision and training on ABA/PBS theory and practice, and direct service to individuals with Development Disabilities/Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Dually Diagnosed Individuals.
  • Knowledge of DDS regulations.
  • Must be able to work independently while demonstrating effective time management, organizational and planning skills.
  • Understand the role and function of Human Rights Committees as well as a demonstrated knowledge of the human rights of individuals with disabilities.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly graphing in Microsoft Excel.

Job Requirements

  • Clinical and Administrative supervision provided by the Clinical Director, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Clinical Supervision for BCaBAs (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst) or persons pursing their Board Certification in Behavior Analysis is provided.
  • Maintaining or actively obtaining BCBA/BCaBA certification status.
  • Managing a Caseload of Individuals requiring behavioral supports in Day and/or Residential Programs.
  • Demonstrating thorough knowledge of principles and techniques of ABA, including single-subject methodology.
  • Remaining current in the relevant research literature through independent professional development and attending relevant conferences.
  • Conducting functional assessments of challenging behaviors and analyzing data.
  • Designing Positive Behavioral Support Plans.
  • Obtaining consent for all Assessments, Behavior Support Plans and Restrictive Practices.
  • Training strategies included in Behavior Support Plans with staff at Residential and/or Employment Day Programs.
  • Providing feedback and guidance to staff on the correct implementation of Behavior Plans.
  • Communicating with parents, guardians, or other caregivers concerning behavioral programming. Meeting with families to discuss the consistency of positive behavioral support strategies in other settings.
  • Participating in ISP meetings to discuss data and implementation of the Behavior Support Plan, as well as future goals.
  • Participating in PBS Team meetings as requested (monthly for Individuals with Behavior Plans).
  • Establishing a structured physical and social environment that is aligned with PBS and facilitates the goals of treatment for each individual.
  • Presenting Level II Behavior Plans to the Metro Region Peer Review Committee; and all Behavior Plans to the HRC.
  • Developing, implementing and supervising data collection and fidelity checks for all Individuals who have Behavior Plans in place and/or receive Behavior Modifying Medications.
  • Responsible for visiting all Homes in which an Individual has a Behavior Plan at least once monthly to conduct fidelity checks. Quarterly visits are required for Homes that do not have any Individuals on a Behavior Plan. These visits will serve as an opportunity to conduct Fidelity Checks for Universal PBS Implementation.
  • Training supervisors and staff in methods of interacting with Individuals in a positive manner by providing written and verbal instruction, as well as and role modeling and providing feedback.
  • Knowledge of physical intervention techniques to manage crises.
  • Ability to be On Call as part of a rotating schedule.
  • Arranging Clinical Team Meetings/Case Conferences for assigned Individuals.
  • Attending ISP, PBS team, medication review and interdisciplinary team meetings as required.
  • Assuring compliance with all WCI Policies, DDS and federal regulations related to Behavior Plans.
  • Meeting all ISP-related deadlines for each Individual assigned.
  • Understanding and agreeing to follow the Ethical Guidelines published by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board, as well as position statements published by the Association for Behavior Analysis International.
  • Training supervisors on how to conduct an assessment of Individual’s skills; and how to train Individuals in necessary skills. Assisting staff in development of strategies for teaching new skills to Individuals. Assisting with writing Objectives that are in behavioral, and measurable terms in the ISP as requested or identified.
  • Providing trainings in PBS and other Clinical trainings as requested by the CEO and Clinical Director.
  • Attending Management and Division Meetings, staff meetings, Investigation Meetings as requested by the CEO and Clinical Director.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings as required.
  • Acting as Investigator as assigned by the CEO and Clinical Director.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by the CEO and Clinical Director.
  • Personal vehicle in good working order.
