Assistant Store Manager Job Duties

- Primary function is to control product flow from pick-up and donations to sale

- Performance evaluation in writing yearly by Marketplace General Manager

- Reports to the Marketplace General Manager

- An incentive package is available for the Assistant Manager

- Schedule is 40 hours per week and currently is Tuesday to Saturday

**Requirements**

Responsibilities:

- Must be able to lift 50lbs, furniture loading and unloading

- Locate, train (orientation), scheduling and motivates volunteer staff

- Delegates to volunteer-s various functions to manage

- Tracks daily volunteer hours from sign-in sheets

- Attends Operations Staff meetings for the store management group to develop policies and procedures for volunteers and staff

- Report maintenance issues, major merchandising resets and asset purchases to the General Manager

- Manages Truck maintenance and gas and pick up equipment (outside the back door)

- Learns to cashier, open and close daily sales functions

- Replaces the General Manager when General Manager is not available

- Decides for disposal of all excess inventory and trash

- Schedules pickups and deliveries to and from customers and arranges volunteer and hired staff for those pickups and deliveries

- Creates a positive image for the environment

- Works with volunteers to provide a safe work environment

- Works with volunteers to provide a safe shopping environment

- Follows all procedures for volunteers and policies

- Other responsibilities as assigned.
