**Job Title: Associate Development Specialist**

**Pay: $15.60**

**Position Summary** :
Candidate should have a minimum of an A.S. degree or certificate in biotechnology, or a related field. This is an entry-level upstream cell culture position. Aseptic technique or prior lab experience is a plus, but not required. Candidate should be well-organized and eager to learn. This is a 1st shift job, ~8hr/day, with a somewhat flexible start time. Weekend work is required.

Responsibilities would include daily support activities for laboratory cell culture operations in a BSL-1 laboratory. Sampling bioreactors and performing process changes under the guidance of laboratory study owners, performing filtrations (NFF and CFF), and data entry/verification. Candidate will be expected to regularly lift and handle up to 50lbs in the course of reactor support duties.

Additional responsibilities will include laboratory maintenance of equipment and lab spaces. This includes regular cleaning of the biosafety cabinet and water baths, prep work for daily cell culture activities (prepare sample labels, filter trains, etc), and performing preventative maintenance QC on assorted instruments such as Muse, Nova Flex, and Cedex. Prior experience with specific equipment not required, but helpful to have experience or interest.
