**Associate Biomolecular Scientist, Analytical Development - Durham, NC (** **_Direct Hire)_**


Kelly Scientific is currently seeking a **Bio-molecular Protein Scientist skilled in Analytical Test Method Development** for a **Direct Hire** opportunity in **Durham, NC** to join a highly technical analytical team in a dynamic work environment with one of our most esteemed **Biopharmaceutical clients!**



The scientist will participate in client-based analytical programs as a member of Analytical, Formulation and Stability (AFS) group! The ideal candidate will have a high-skill level on abilities in analytical techniques applicable to business needs: ( **HPLC, Capillary Electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, icIEF, UV-Vis, and/or MS** ) and a focus on plate-based assays (ELISA and qPCR). *** **EXPERIENCE WITH BIO-MOLECULES AND OTHER LARGE MOLECULE ANALYSIS IS PREFERRED*****





**Job Summary:**

Responsible for developing analytical methods for large molecules; developed methods are used to support upstream and downstream development efforts and for GMP release and stability testing.


**Job Description:**




+ Executes experiments for developing analytical test methods for use in process development support and ultimately cGMP testing.

+ Understands experiments, conducts troubleshooting analyses, and completes projects/assignments within given timelines.

+ Regularly exercises technical discretion in the execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project goals.

+ Familiar with protein characterization techniques, such as HPLC, Capillary Electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, icIEF, UV-Vis, and/or MS

+ Maintains familiarity with current scientific literature.

+ Maintains and updates knowledge of instrumentation.

+ Notebook upkeep and sound scientific writing and communication skills.

+ Assures proper labeling, handling, and storage of all chemicals used in the area; assures proper labeling and disposition of hazardous waste in satellite areas; adheres to all safety requirements and follows safe procedures, and attends all required safety and health training, including handling hazardous waste.

+ Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.



**Job Requirements:**




+ B.S. Degree and 6 years of related cGMP experience or M.S. Degree and 4 years of related cGMP experience

+ Ability to shift priorities as needed
