The Cellular Process Development team is a team dedicated to design and develop processes to manufacture high quality cellular drug product for our patients. We contribute to the development of manufacturing processes and platforms for our oncology-based T cell therapies for early phase clinical assessment, and chaperone them from pre-clinical to commercial manufacturing phases in collaboration with other teams across Pharmaceutical Science and Research. We are driven by the significant impact our critical work plays in patients lives.


+ Leading process improvements for unit operations for oncology-based pre-clinical programs

+ Driving experimental plans and interpret scientific results for designing processes

+ Helping in the development of engineered T cell processes to support manufacturing for preclinical programs, IND-enabling activities and early phase clinical trials

+ Working independently manage and execute key project workstreams as well as working cross-functionally with our Research and Analytical Development team

+ Successfully provide critical lab support while working in a collaborative team environment


+ Have BS in cell biology, immunology, biological sciences, biomedical engineering or related discipline with 1-2 years of experience; or have MS in cell biology, immunology, biological sciences, biomedical engineering or related discipline with 0-1 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry

+ Are well versed in a variety of cell-based methods with a strong understanding of tissue culture, cell biology, immunoassays, and general laboratory techniques

+ Are independently motivated, detail oriented and have good problem-solving ability

+ Have ability to successfully analyze scientific data and present in the group/department meetings

+ Have strong written skills to summarize findings in technical reports

+ Have excellent organizational skills and strong ability to embrace change and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

+ Have a flexible schedule based on experimental work (some weekend work may be required)

+ Experience with human biological sample handling, primary human T cell culture, flow cytometry, cell isolation, transduction and cryopreservation are highly preferred

+ Experience with large scale, closed system manufacturing of therapeutic cell and/or gene therapy products is highly preferred

+ Familiarity with statistical analysis programs (JMP, GraphPad Prism, etc) and flow cytometry data analysis software (FlowJo, MACSQuantify, etc) is preferred

+ Understanding in T cell biology and Immunology is a plus
