Description **Associate Software Engineer_Medical Devices**

**Summary:**

Work closely with team to create/modify software development documentation, participate in software testing, code reviews and development activities. (i.e. - Builds, releases, upgrading units, initial test, test fixture software creation)

**Education/Experience: (In order of priority)**


1. Bachelor's degree (B. S.) or equivalent in computer Science;
2. Some experience in C, , C++, Visual Basic.Net and C#.Net
3. Some experience in planning, writing, and executing software verification and validation plans and reports
4. Experience in Medical device industry
5. Experience testing software for Medical device industry
6. Experience developing software for Medical device industry
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Creation of Software documents:

+ Detailed design, architecture documentation, Risk Analysis, System Requirements, Software Requirements, Traceability Matrix, Verification Plans and Reports, Validation Plans and Reports, Device Master Records, Design History Files, Technical Files
+ Software Tool validation
+ Participation in Software reviews (code, spec, etc.)
+ Software system test support
+ Software unit test cases and test execution of critical code support
+ Software integration testing support
+ Upgrading prototypes with latest software
+ Initial testing of prototypes from software perspective
+ Test fixture software creation & validation
+ Updates to legacy system software documentation
+ Works with Regulatory on publishing regulatory agency approval documents both domestic and international
+ Analyzes and develops software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
+ Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system
+ Responsible for using state-of-the-art programming tools, scientific analysis, and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
+ Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation
+ Debugs software &Manages acquisition of tools and hardware with key vendors.
+ Consults with customers concerning troubleshooting of software in the field
