**Audit Manager**

**Pay will be market rate**

Kelly Government Solutions is hiring for an audit manager on a government contract with our customer in Washington, DC. This assignment will last approximately six months and could be extended.

**Job Description:**

The overall objective of the Audit and Assurance Division is to assist all levels of management and the Audit Committee by providing independent analysis, appraisals, advice, and recommendations concerning the activities reviewed. The purpose of the Manager of Audit and Assurance position is to assist in the development and execution of comprehensive audit plans. This individual will perform and manage advanced and specialized audits of the Universal Service Fund contributors or beneficiaries. In addition, the Manager will provide coaching and supervision to audit staff.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Performing project management duties, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating the work of audit staff.

+ Tracking progress of audits and projects, including identification of potential delays/roadblocks.

+ Assisting IAD senior management with the identification, reporting, and evaluation of audit risk areas.

+ Providing audit staff with expertise in auditing standards and performance criteria, and audit requirements.

+ Developing audit procedures/programs for achieving audit objectives and goals.

+ Reviewing and providing feedback on work paper documentation and audit reports.

+ Communicating audit status and results via written reports and oral presentations on a timely basis to the auditee and our customer's management team.

+ Assisting in the coordination of outsourced audits.

+ Hiring audit staff.

+ Developing audit staff through training and coaching, as well as addressing employee relation matters.

+ Preparing and conducting mid-year and annual performance appraisals.

+ Providing assistance with the coordination of the audit efforts for whistleblower investigations.

+ Identifying audit issues that require FCC guidance.

+ Pursuing professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and share information with co-workers to contribute to the growth and development of the Audit and Assurance Division.

+ Assisting in other special projects as needed.

**Manager tasks that include, but are not limited to:**

+ Developing performance metrics

+ Evaluating staff performance

+ Providing guidance and oversight to staff

+ Establishing task priority

+ Managing staff projects

**Required Experience:**

+ Two to four (2 4) years of supervisory experience

+ Training or Formal Education Fields: Audit, Accounting, Finance and/or Business

+ Overall experience: five to seven (5 7) years

+ Accounting & Auditing: five to seven (5 7) years

+ Risk Assessment: Two to four (2 4) years

**Other Desired Experience:**

Telecommunications Industry; Finance and Budgeting; Regulatory

**Education Required:**

+ Bachelors Degree

+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
