Description Kelly Services is currently looking to hire an experienced BENEFITS SPECIALIST for our client, an engineering consulting firm, at their headquarters in Durham, NC. **_Position Overview_**

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Benefits Specialist will be a key member of the Human Resources team working to ensure compliant and cost effective administration of employee benefits that supports business objectives. They will have responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s benefits practices and by developing and implementing new or modified plans and employee benefits policies.

**_Position Responsibilities_**


+ • Administers employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and disability plans, 401k, along with an effective wellness program.
+ • Drives the annual benefit open enrollment process to include negotiations with vendors and employee communication.
+ • Functions as a liaison between benefit vendors and NNE employees as well as advises employees on eligibility, coverage and other benefits matters.
+ • Compiles and maintains benefits records and documents.
+ • Presents benefits information at new hire orientation.
+ • Meets deadlines and providing timely notification to employees
+ • Manages benefits vendors.
+ • Manages a complex combination of fully-insured plans.
+ • Evaluates existing company benefits to ensure competitiveness with other employers.
+ • Manages all leaves, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PSL, etc.
+ • Manages ADA claims
**_Candidate Qualifications_**


+ • Associates/Bachelor Business Administration, Labor Relations - Preferred
+ • CBP or CEBS certification - Preferred
+ • Minimum 3-5 years Benefits management experience - Required
+ • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. - Required
