**Whats a typical day as** **a Bilingual Procurement Director** **? Youll be:**


+ Take ownership the Americas(US, MX & BR) procurement spend in alignment with the global category teams

+ Find and develop new sourcing alternatives in the region

+ Support the Commercial strategy for the region

+ Procurement leader for sustainability & innovation in the region

+ Help R&D and Sales to find the products they need and support validations

+ Support the Industrial strategy for the region

+ Enhance supplier quality performance and solve quality issues with suppliers

+ Accountable for cost savings projects within the Region, in coordination with global category teams

+ Participate to local management team

+ Be responsible for regional suppliers in coordination with global category leaders

+ Source indirect (opex & capex) categories in coordination with global category leaders for indirect

+ Deliver second level of savings through local actions

+ Understand local market trends to grab opportunities

+ Reinforce cross functional teamwork at Site level

+ Work out more TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) projects

+ Full transparency and frequent communication with global category buying team


Key activities are:



+ Negotiate best conditions with allocated suppliers, in collaboration with Global Category Leaders

+ Ensure that the agreements with suppliers are accurately translated in formal contracts, together with the legal department

+ Closely follow the markets in the America region, specially in Mexico and the US

+ Support category strategy in line with the company strategy, by listening to the different internal stakeholders and taking into account the market

+ Follow up the regulations/duties in the region and to create different sources/alternatives for the procurement optimization

+ Follow up customs legislations that provide tax reductions in case of imports and try to get new raw materials into that scope.

+ Ensure that the global & regional strategy is implemented (support the implementation of the strategy and any needed change) holding suppliers accountable

+ Regularly report on savings and on key activities or issues with suppliers including updates on top projects

+ Manage the teams in MX, US, BR (support and guide the local team)

+ Represent the Group Procurement Team in the AMEAA Division. Be the main point of contact for a divisional management team for procurement related topics

+ Need to serve and match the requirements of a variety of internal customers (e.g. R&D, Sales, marketing, divisions and plants within the division), where different departments & Regions sometimes have conflicting demands.

+ Work in a cross-functional matrix organization, where strong and effective communication is key.

+ Consolidate the needs of the assigned categories and make the translation from Product Groups to Spend categories using it as a basis for negotiations.

+ High complexity of product ranges. Constantly look for possibilities to standardize.

+ Multiple suppliers per category and/or common to many other sub-categories, so close cooperation with other PM s is essential.

+ Find and actively implement new cost savings projects

+ Understand cost structure of supplier depending on different technical processes

+ Need to follow up the suppliers and the markets we are buying from.

+ Scan the market to ensure we have first access to new potential opportunities

+ Participate as active team member to different strategic projects (Product changes, investments, etc.)

+ Need to develop and maintain a thorough understanding and knowledge of the relevant categories.

+ Manage teams in different locations, making sure they get necessary support and guidance.

+ Create value for the designated division and plants belonging to that division.


**This job might be an outstanding fit if you:**





+ 10+ years of experience in a similar position in the hygiene industry

+ Deep knowledge of industrialhygiene network in Mexico and the US

+ Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. economics) or equal in experience.

+ Excellent negotiation and communication skills

+ Fluent English & Spanish (bilingual)

+ Good command of SAP and MS Office

+ Ability to work under pressure with challenging deadlines, while delivering high quality results focused on individual and Company goals & objectives.

+ Proven track record in managing and guiding a team???????
