Description Job Description: Analyst, Clinical Programming Contractor Responsibilities: Responsible for building SAS programs to create listings/reports from the clinical database, external data sources, and other sources while following the clinical study s protocol, data validation specifications and user requirements. Responsible for Developing SAS macros, templates and utilities for data cleaning and reporting. Work in tandem with Biostatistics and Data Management member on various clinical projects. Responsible for Study management reports using SAS. Conducts peer review and QC of clinical programming reports/listings deliverables from internal and vendor employees, providing feedback to internal and vendor employees as needed Performs additional clinical programming tasks including but not limited to data archiving, data loading and report creation. Works with requestor to define requirements and performs or QCs programming.Requirements: Minimum of 5 years Clinical Data Management/SAS programming experience working in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry; work with CROs highly desirable Education: BS in biological sciences, computer sciences, statistics or other related field Technical/Software Skills: Expertise with SAS Base, SAS Macros Programming required; Expertise with Business Objects, J-review, SpotFire or other reporting tool preferred; Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL; detailed understanding of CDMS database structures. General software skills: Lotus Notes, MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Visio, familiarity with medical coding dictionaries, especially MedDRA and WHODRUG. Experience writing UAT scripts and executing UAT scripts for testing of reports/listings, to ensure that all clinical trial listings/reports are consistent with the needs of the data cleaning requirements per study protocol and department standards and procedures Experience applying best practices in clinical data management or statistical programming in the clinical trial environment, including requirements definition and QC plans Knowledge of GCP and other regulations. Internal customer management, influence of peers, team effectiveness and enhancement, timeline management, proactive problem solving ability, ability to develop trust, shared goals and values. Collaborative, with negotiation skills, conceptual thinking, systems process thinking, accountability to deliverables milestones, conflict resolution internal and external . Must have excellent oral and written communication / presentation / negotiation skills. Detail oriented, able to identify issues and consistently collaborate to solve problems in a timely manner. Ability to handle multiple changing priorities under tight timelines.
