**Biologist - T Cell Expertise - NIH - Bethesda, MD**

Through our partnership with the National Institutes of Health, Kelly Government Solutions offers administrative, IT, engineering, scientific, and healthcare professionals the opportunity to work with one of the most prestigious research organizations in the world. We are currently seeking a **Biologist** to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in **Bethesda, MD.**

**OVERVIEW.** This is a long-term, open-ended contract position which offers:

**TASKS/SERVICES.** The contractor shall:

+ Design and perform experiments and interpret results.

+ Perform procedures including tumor cell culture, T cell culture, T cell phenotype and function assays, flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISPOT, DNA cloning, viral vector design and production, and gene expression assays.

+ Work with clinical cell production facility staff to develop new cell production procedures.

+ Follow clinical laboratory guidelines to produce cells for administration to patients.

+ Maintain an accurate, detailed research record; update and maintain laboratory notebooks and databases.

+ Collect, analyze and interpret findings and results.

+ Prepare summaries and report results in oral and written formats.

+ Manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory.

**REQUIREMENTS.** The contractor must have:

+ Ph.D. in Biology, Life Sciences or a related discipline; three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Master's degree is equivalent to a Ph.D.

+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a laboratory environment.

+ Research experience in T cell culture and T cell phenotype and function assays, including flow cytometry and ELISA.

+ Research experience in molecular biology, including DNA cloning and the construction and use of viral vectors.

+ Research experience with T cell receptor (TCR) or chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) gene therapy.

+ Experience working with radioisotopes.

+ Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.

+ Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).

+ Strong communications skills, both oral and written.

+ Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
