Description **Kelly Scientific Resources is looking for a cell culturist with a background in engineering to be a part of a growth enterprise in Cleveland, OH.**

**PROCESS ENGINEER ASSOCIATE**

**WE ARE SEEKING:** A Process Engineer Associate to work in a high performing, cross-functional team with the goal of developing scalable processes related to the manufacture of therapeutic cells. The overall team will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and implementing bioreactor-based cell manufacturing technologies that can be utilized to create efficiencies of scale in the culture of adherent cells. This _hands-on_ process engineer will be expected to assist in the execution of experiments, operation and maintenance of process development equipment and general laboratory responsibilities. This position will report to the Process Engineer, Associate Scientist. In this role, primary responsibilities will be to:


+ Work with the Process Development team to assist in the development of the manufacturing process, including the development of process flow diagrams, bill of materials, list of equipment, and cost of goods calculations;
+ Assist in the design and execution of cell culture experiments that relate to scalable culture processes for adherent stem cells, including data analysis and interpretation;
+ Obtain and analyze experimental data including statistical analysis, and the impact of process changes on the Cost of Goods of the final cell product; and
+ Maintain accurate and up to date records, including appropriate lab notebook recordings, with the capability of achieving deliverables in a timely fashion.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**


+ BS in biomedical engineering or related discipline;
+ 1 – 3 years of hands on experience in cell culture and aseptic technique;
+ Familiarity with scalable bioproduction concepts and methodologies including bioreactors, microcarriers, and/or adult stem cells;
+ A strong working knowledge of basic engineering principles;
+ A strong working knowledge of quantitative data analysis and statistics;
+ Strong written and oral communication skills; and
+ Independent work skills with a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform in a team setting.
