We are currently seeking an BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING PROGRAM ANALYST to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Bethesda is near Washington DC.

TASKS/SERVICES. The contractor shall:
1. Create search criteria for locating scientific, program and related information available on the internet and through other means.
2. Conduct literature and database searches for material directed at specific programmatic needs.
3. Develop and maintain database and website content related to scientific programs.
4. Maintain and distribute scientific papers relevant to specific programmatic needs.
5. Review, proofread and archive programmatic documents describing scientific and management issues and policies related to the designated program.
6. Work with NIH staff on Program evaluations.
7. Organize, analyze, and/or present reports in scientific areas.
8. Read, interpret, analyze and condense material from a variety of sources for presentation.
9. Prepare presentation materials such as tables, graphs, slides and overheads by assimilating data.
10. Request information from and provide e-mail, phone and written responses to principal investigators grantees , extramural program staff and others on scientific and programmatic issues.
11. Analyze and develop presentations consisting of data from grantee progress reports to be used by Program staff and at grantee meetings in the overall analysis of Program progress.
12. Take a proactive role in tracking action items and tasks, providing deadline reminders to Program staff; update and maintain spreadsheets of relevant information.
13. Participate in meetings and provide minutes/reports.
14. Work with NIH staff and serve as the point of contact with logistics contract staff to coordinate planning for various scientific meetings, conference calls, symposia, lectures and workshops.
15. Develop meeting agendas for Program working group meetings and other Program related meetings.
16. Represent the Program at local and national meetings in collaboration with program staff by delivering presentations and posters; disseminate details of the Program and collect information of value to the Program goals.
17. Organize and maintain a repository of resources, including minutes, reports, spreadsheets and web pages related to the program.
18. Track and analyze changes in policy and procedures related to the Program management and proactively inform Program staff of their implications.
19. Work with the NIH and NIBIB communications and IT staff to create content for website and disseminate to media outlets.

REQUIREMENTS. The contractor must have:
1. Bachelor’s degree in the Life Sciences, Physical Sciences or a related discipline.
2. Minimum of two (2) year of experience in a related field.
3. Background in biomedical imaging and/or bioengineering
4. Skill in data analysis, preparation of spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
5. Skill in collecting and analyzing both text and numerical data from the internet and other resources
6. Ability to produce graphical and tabular representations of complex data for presentation and use by Program staff.
7. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
8. Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
