Kelly Services is currently seeking a Biophysical Methods and Separation Scientist in Frederick, MD to work a contract assignment of 10 months (with the opportunity for extension or conversion based on performance and company need) for one of our top clients. **Primary Responsibilities of the** Biophysical Methods and Separation Scientist **includes:**


This is a lab-based position where the scientist will perform analytical testing within GTOs laboratory. In addition to executing experiments, this position will also be responsible for performing some routine administrative duties necessary to keep laboratory areas operational, safe, and compliant, such as logbook review, chemical inventory accuracy, general laboratory upkeep and ordering. Other duties as assigned.


This is a scientific track position.


Knowledge and Scope

Experience with spectroscopic techniques such as UV-Visible absorption spectroscopy, specifically using Agilent instrumentation and software

Experience with liquid handling robotics and software, specifically Andrew Alliance software

Experience executing liquid chromatography analytical procedures on HPLC and UPLC platforms, specifically Agilent and Waters HPLC/UPLC systems and software.

Experience working in a GXP Environment

Experience working with biologic therapeutic modalities, specifically monoclonal antibodies

Experience executing method validation and analytical tech transfer studies.

Has a good working knowledge of other related disciplines

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments

**Education and Experience Requirement of the** Biophysical Methods and Separation Scientist **includes** :


M.S. or B.S (or equivalent) in biological sciences, physical sciences, or similar fields

Minimum Relevant Experience:

M.S.: 2 years; B.S.: 4 years


**Additional Information:**


+ Contract assignment, duration 10 months (with the opportunity for extension or conversion based on performance and company need)

+ Work schedule: full-time, first shift.

+ Pay Rate: $45-50/hr (negotiable based on experience).
