Description Our client, a top 10 US Property & Casualty Insurer, is currently seeking a **Business Analyst** for a 4 month temporary position with the opportunity to extend. The position is located in Philadelphia, PA.

**PAY RATE: $44.50/hr on W2**

The hours for this position are as follows


+ Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):


+ Gathers requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
+ Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
+ Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
+ Supports one or more highly complex business processes
+ Works on multiple projects as a project team member
+ Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
You are required to have more than 3 years of relevant work experience in a financial services or insurance company and a Bachelor’s Degree.

Skills:


+ Advanced MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, Macros, etc.) and good overall knowledge of MS Office
+ Advanced knowledge of COGNOS, QlikView, or similar business intelligence reporting tools
+ Data analytics skills (Knowledge of relational databases, SharePoint, and SQL a plus)
+ Expert ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
