Kelly Scientific Resources is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for a biotechnology company located in San Antonio.





**JOB SUMMARY:**



Under general supervision of the Head of Strategy, the New Business Development Manager (Bio) with other professionals will implement the bio business in the U.S. Responsible for leading and contributing to the successful execution and implementation of companys business development strategies through identifying and qualifying potential business opportunities for the newly created Biotechnology business.





**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**




+ Create and implement a strategic approach for identifying and securing new business, and investment candidates.

+ Research businesses, organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.

+ Maintain a high level of understanding of the industry and market conditions through trade conventions and other networking opportunities.

+ Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives.

+ Screen new business opportunities for fit within Company guidelines.

+ Establish new relationships with potential investee companies, investors, and referral sources.

+ Develop and maintain working relationships with new business prospects.

+ Track new business opportunities using company provided tools.

+ Determine tactical plan and establish the resources requirements needed to support a winning strategy in closing new business deals.

+ Close deals consistent with established goals and approval from executive leaders.

+ Find and developing new markets.

+ Expand pipeline year-over-year to meet Company targets.

+ Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and industry events.

+ Develop goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.

+ Train direct reports and assist in developing skills.





**QUALIFICATIONS:**




+ Bachelors degree in biological sciences with a minor or focus / experience in business, marketing or related field.




+ Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in business development or related field; experience in bio industry strongly recommended.

+ Strong leadership skills and negotiation skills.

+ Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.

+ Excellent organizational skills.

+ Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.

+ Excellent computing in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

+ Ability to travel (estimated at 50%).

+ Excellent written and spoken English skills and fluency in Korean preferred.
