Job Title: Business Development Manager


Location: Remote opportunity, prefer candidates near Cincinnati, OH.


Contract-to-Hire OR Direct Hire opportunity!


Mission Statement PERI is an organization dedicated to promoting good quality of care in wound healing, podiatry and orthopedics through the pursuit of quality clinical research and trial management. Goals for PERIs research mission are the following:


1. To conduct high-quality research according to the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH), Guidelines for Good Clinical Practice (GCP), National Institute of Health (NIH), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and be in compliance with local, state and federal regulations


2. To promote and strengthen professional development of staff


3. To become recognized as an outstanding CRO for industry-sponsored clinical research


4. To advocate the value of research as a means of good quality of care in wound healing, podiatry and orthopedics


5. To provide personnel and infrastructure support for clinical research within the organization


**Job Requirements**


Education: Bachelors degree in Life Sciences or similar discipline.


+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Clinical Research Organization or research division of an orthopedic, life science or wound care company (Required)


**Experience:**


+ At least 2 years of implementation management, business management, or project management experience. (Required)

+ At least 1 year of direct business development, marketing, or client engagement experience. (Required)

+ Background interfacing with team members at various levels from Individual Contributor to C-Suite Executives. (Required)

+ History of managing multiple projects simultaneously within various departments across an organization. (Required)

+ Familiarity with one or more project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) (Preferred)

+ Working knowledge of project collaboration environments and applications (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, etc.) (Preferred)

+ Strong organization skills. (Required)

+ Strong interpersonal and effective communication and presentation skills. (Required)

+ Proven record for successfully leading teams and partnering across an organization to achieve common goals. (Required)

+ Superior sales, negotiation, and business acumen skills

+ Strong collaboration and team building skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with varied stakeholders

+ Strong cross-functional collaborator able to effectively problem-solve with stakeholders to address business problems and overcome obstacles, not just assign tasks and report status.

+ Ability to master complex projects and understand business priorities to ensure requirements are accurately gathered, and projects are structured to ensure consistent project execution and measurement.

+ Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools

+ Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

+ Excellent active listening skills

+ Ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences

+ Leadership to bring a sense of urgency to work and the ability to influence others to deliver on time with exceptional results.

+ An initiative-taker with great attention to detail, able to work on assigned tasks independently, and comfortable with identifying and initiating discussions about opportunities for improvement.

+ A professional, engaged, curious, and consultative nature and good judgment.

+ Availability to travel to attend trade shows and meet with sponsors


**Job Purpose**


+ High visibility and collaborative role reports directly to the President to provide the necessary leadership and support to nurture and acquire new clients and help expand revenue growth, profitability, product and brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.

+ Moreover, this role works cross[1]functionally to drive critical program management discipline for the business development function to enable operational excellence and ensure the optimal customer experience.


**Duties and Responsibilities**


+ Provide direct support to the company President to organize, track, and facilitate the business development process.

+ Facilitate effective CRM (E.g., Salesforce.com) implementation and utilization; maintain pipeline reporting and analytics that help guide business development strategies; track, report, and analyze market and client data.

+ Define and measure business development success metrics and monitor delivery progress.

+ Assist in client analysis, lead mining, client engagement, sales, marketing, and various business development and client relationship management efforts, including at various trade shows, meetings, and events.

+ Conduct market research to identify potential clients and determine their needs; work with clients to create practical solutions to meet their requirements.

+ Assist in developing proposals that detail products or services that meet client needs.

+ Research and help produce ad hoc reports and presentations for client meetings.

+ Function as the voice of the customer by understanding the business development strategies and client requirements and representing them to the delivery teams.

+ Support the design, development, delivery, and management of business development communications and representations.

+ Ensure continuous communication by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all parties are informed about ongoing business development efforts, pipeline activities, client satisfaction, and client project status.

+ Communicate both orally and in written forms with all audiences. Document activities and distribute status reports.

+ Monitor business development progress, activities, and schedules to ensure the achievement of goals. Identify gaps in processes, ensuring that potential issues and risks are communicated and escalated.

+ Drive process and momentum for crucial business development efforts using standard frameworks, methodologies, and standardized practices and approaches.

+ Develop detailed project plans to track business development progress.

+ Report on project and progress status to upper management and operational leaders.


20% travel expected
