**DURATION:** 6+ months


**POSITION OVERVIEW**


+ This position is responsible for interfacing with business units and stakeholders to maintain, integration, enhance and support the delivery of complex, highly integrated information systems supporting major building and auxiliary business services provided to the company.

+ As a Business Systems Analyst on the Resource Management and Planning Information Services team, incumbent will be focused primarily on gathering functional and technical requirements by understanding complex business processes, and designing solutions leveraging multiple commercial off-the-shelf and custom developed solutions.

+ Applies business process and analysis concepts and department / unit and location policies and procedures to resolve a variety of business process problems. Works on business process issues of limited to moderate scope where evaluation of processes, procedures and data requires analysis using a variety of factors.

+ Applies technical expertise and business analysis concepts to identify, evaluate and define complex systems scope and objectives with an understanding of applicable business practices, processes, systems and industry standards to meet end-user needs.

+ Performs moderately complex analysis to acquire, install, modify and support operating systems, software, databases, utilities and / or tools.

+ Applies and manages complex security configurations. Information services include, but may not be limited to: Flex, EZCare, Ratex, Maximo, Tririga, eBuilder, Kronos, etc.

+ Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes business and user needs, documenting requirements and revising existing system and process logic issues as necessary.

+ Provides support and training on new applications. Guides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts.

+ Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for approval of business process and procedural documentation.

+ Recommends and implements changes in processes and procedures.

+ Negotiates with stakeholders on the creation of specifications.

+ Participate in maintaining the organization's process architecture repository. This repository contains as-is and to-be process models that represent the ongoing activities of the supported business units. Develop and recommend modifications to business processes to satisfy core business objectives.

+ Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing complex systems and procedures. Creates complex specifications for systems to meet end-user requirements.

+ Involved in developing complex user interface designs. Plans and executes unit integration and acceptance testing.

+ Participates in cross-functional teams to address complex business or systems issues. Assists with implementation of changes in development, maintenance, system standards and in the creation of specifications.

+ Produce design documents delineating data mapping, data sources, data transformation rules, and strategy of migration.

+ Create implementation documentation for internal resources, transition plan for support of system to IT support team, and for administration of applications to Customer.

+ Assists with project plan development and end user documentation.

+ Gathers and analyzes data to prepare business process and procedural documentation. A

+ Assists with implementation of changes in development, maintenance, system standards and in the creation of specifications.

+ Develop training materials, end-user guides, and assist with the planning and delivery of training for new system and process rollouts and deployment of system and process modifications.

+ Applies professional project management and IT concepts, and department/unit and campus policies and procedures to manage moderately complex projects.

+ Leads the development and implementation process for moderately complex products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams.

+ Assists with project proposals and reports. Organizes project activities with the goal of completing the project on schedule and within budget constraints.

+ Develop work breakdown structures and project plans for small to medium information systems and business process projects.

+ Distribute tasks to project team members for time estimation and work completion.

+ Develop project timelines, establish milestones and prepare presentations and reports for use by senior managers.

+ Lead and/or participate in meetings with project team members to determine design specifications, time lines, resource challenges, and priorities.

+ Utilize industry best-practices regarding Project Management.


**REQUIRED SKILLS**


+ Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. **, Skills and Abilities**

+ Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Interpersonal and communications skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization

+ Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds. Ability to collaborate effectively with management, supervisors, peers and co-workers within the organization to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies

+ Strong skills and knowledge of methodologies associated with analysis of processes and problems, information flow and architecture. Demonstrated ability to learn and quickly understand complex processes and procedures, prioritize a heavy workload, consistently meet deadlines and cope with peak workload periods. Must perform well with the minimum of direct supervision in unstructured situations while applying creativity for effective problem solving.

+ Thorough Knowledge of related areas of IT. Including, but not limited to, application development, systems integration, infrastructure, databases, mobile and desktop user interfaces, and commodity IT solutions.

+ Experience with design and development of training programs and materials for business process and specific information systems applications. Ability to coordinate, schedule and deliver training content utilizing different media types. Ability to adapt the training needs of others at various learning levels

+ Skill at organizing and prioritizing tasks with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities and handle frequent interruptions. This often requires working on several assignments simultaneously, all of which may have the same deadline. Can determine level-of-effort for assigned tasks for projects, implementations and enhancements

+ Thorough knowledge of business and process analysis functions.

+ In-depth understanding and skill in process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description.

+ Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem solving skills

+ Broad knowledge relating to software design

+ Thorough knowledge of business processes and procedures

+ Demonstrated testing and test planning skills., Required

+ Skill in establishing rapport and gaining the trust of others. Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and establish credibility with employees, managers, and business partners across functional lines.
