**9 month contract via Kelly Engineering**


**Summary of the group:**


The Materials Management team is responsible for the planning, procurement, and distribution of GMP raw materials required for the production of Clinical trial material. The team is composed of Buyers, Planners, and Inventory Control Specialists. Some of the key responsibilities of the team are material master data creation and maintenance, crafting master specs, shipping drug substance, cost analysis, cost reduction, trouble-shooting supply issues, and new material introduction.


**Main Duties & Responsibilities:**


+ Purchases raw materials using approved suppliers to ensure goods and services are accurately secured with emphasis on quality, customer service, and cost reduction. Ensures materials are delivered and released in time to meet the production schedule.

+ Works closely with Accounts Payable and Receiving to reconcile problems associated with three way match transactions.

+ Maintains a cost reduction, cost avoidance, cost containment program. Provides costing information and performs cost analysis.

+ Communicates potential issues with delivery dates, rejected material, replacement material, expedited orders, and documentation to the appropriate departments.

+ Authors master specifications, SOPs, Change controls, and Deviations.

+ Participates in continuous improvement projects and support change initiatives by finding opportunities for improving the efficiency of supply chains, and assisting implementation of changes developed by more senior staff.


**Education & Experience Requirements:**


+ BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Operations Management, Industrial engineering, Biology, Biotechnology, or other Scientific discipline.

+ At least 7 years of direct Supply Chain planning experience or 5 years of experience in Supply Chain planning specifically for Clinical Trial materials, Biotechnology, or Pharmaceuticals or 10+ years of Supply chain experience.


**Required Skills:**


+ Extensive knowledge of supply chain management techniques

+ Experience working with SAP

+ Experience leading and managing projects

+ Strong analytical and financial skills


**Desired Skills:**


+ Ability to re-engineer processes

+ APICS certification

+ GMP experience

+ Manufacturing experience
