**Buyer/Planner**



Kelly Project Services has an opening for a **Buyer/Planner with a medical device client in Miami, Florida.**



The role will be eligible for medical benefits, paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and 401K. The Buyer-Planner is responsible for: Representing the business in achieving the goals of a specific Research & Development Team; plans production/material & administers the teams relationship with suppliers; Assisting in the development of customer material management processes.





**EXPERIENCE WITH:**





Personal computer skills, Windows, word processing, project planning, presentation, e-mail, internet, data base & spreadsheet software, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), Enterprise resource platform software (CINCOM)

**KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**




+ Know & follow customer policies & procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility.
Complete training in area of responsibility within allowed time-period.

+ Training is required for changes in existing policies & procedures, for new assignments & for implementation of new policies & procedures.

+ Complete required periodic re-training in areas such as safety & environmental.
Follow all company safety policies & other safety precautions within work area.

+ Promote safety to all associates that enter work area.



**_The candidate will be required to provide their own IT device for the assignment._**




+ WorkSpaces Virtual PC does not have any hardware requirements, its all OS based.

+ Windows PC - Windows client application requires Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10.

+ MAC - Mac OS X 10.8.1 or later.

+ While workspaces is also compatible with Chromebook and iPad, IT does not recommend those devices for contractor/office use.

+ Chromebook is not compatible with the client network and iPad does not currently have mouse support.





**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:**




+ Domestic & international travel, may travel 10-20% or as required



**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**




+ Office deskwork, requiring sitting, walking, using phone & computer May lift to 30 lbs. occasionally

Manage tool design & maintenance

Monitor hazardous materials

Organize storage of materials at suppliers

Perform make / buy analysis

Provide design assistance & technical consulting

Release POs



Select sources

Solicit & evaluate competitive bids

Assist in capital & expense budget formulation

Track & communicate actual spending

Maintain COGS status

Track actual COGS vs. forecast & communicate variances

Establish Supplier Selection Strategy

Tool build tracking & validation schedules

Ensure completion of first articles capability studies & control plans for component validation

Contract establishment, letters of intent, communicate changes

Establish contingency plans

Initiate supplier approval process with operations, supplier quality & supplier management

Negotiate cost & schedule

Establish appropriate inventory level targets using marketing forecast to meet market release objectives & minimize obsolescence

Partner with RMI, BOM (Bill of Material), customer supplier management, external manufacturing in support of establishing material requirements

Manage transition to assembly operations or external manufacturing

Compile inventory / forecast data

Develop component manufacturability enhancements
