Description **Buyer/Planner role in Minneapolis, MN for 6 months**

**Job Description:**


+ Develops and implements short, medium and some long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, and supply in support of business growth.
+ Participates in the business execution of on-going and new production that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, phase out, material constraints, last time buys/builds and network redesigns.
+ Monitors key performance indicators, contributes to effort to meet cost down targets, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
+ Plans, schedules and purchases finished goods to support inventory requirements for the business.
+ Manage relationships with Contract Manufacturers, OEMs and distribution centers to ensure product availability.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**


+ Facilitate and lead Weekly meetings with CMs and OEMs
+ Accountable for product availability, inventory management and global distribution network
+ Good understanding of relationships among production sites both internal and external and the products that are made.
+ Ability to integrate production capabilities and delivery calendars into supply/inventory plans using multiple methodologies
+ Provide problem solving within group/team and cross-functional environment.
+ Understands and updates complex spreadsheets with formulas
+ Set up and maintain master data across multiple planning and execution systems understanding connectivity between the systems
+ Determine root cause of and correct source of erroneous data
+ Develop working relationships with regional supply chain throughout world, cross-business partners and key functional areas to continue to build the organization.
+ Communicate with group/team, Contract Manufacturers, OEMs and management.
+ Communications to Directors and Vice Presidents.
+ Provide both formal and informal on product availability, manufacturing performance, and SOP topics.
+ Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable. Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.
+ Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
+ Knowledge of industry practices.
+ Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems.
+ May refer to established precedents and policies.
+ Work is performed under general direction with minimal supervision.
+ Determines objectives of assignment and path forward.
+ Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
+ Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
+ Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects.
+ Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:**


+ 5+ years of related Supply Chain Planning and/or Procurement experience with Bachelor’s degree.
+ 3+ years of related Supply Chain Planning and/or Procurement experience with Master’s degree
+ 2+ years SAP system working experience IT system structure work experience
+ Project Management experience
+ Experience working in a regulated environment
+ Basic understanding of Import/Export Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or comparable training APICS and/or C.P.M.
