***Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm**

***Initially 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, later 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (hybrid)**


Kelly is seeking a Buyer to work with our client, a large and reputable manufacturer, on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join the purchasing team of a growing industry leader! The Buyer is responsible for purchasing raw materials as well as finished goods.


Specifically, the Buyer will:


+ Generate and validate accurate purchase orders (pricing/quantities/delivery) to suppliers to ensure appropriate inventory levels are attained and managed

+ Ensure that materials are delivered to meet planned schedule dates in production facilities

+ Use analytical skills to provide strategic analysis of assigned product lines and make recommendations for continuous improvements

+ Work closely with planning group to ensure data attributes are aligned with inventory management and supply chain goals

+ Develop projects that result in cost savings and continuous improvement for the company

+ Gather data, perform analysis, and provide recommendations that support the organizations strategic goals

+ Collaborate across all internal departments, including Operations, Finance, and Customer Service, as well as with external supplier partners to meet customer expectations

+ Communicate with suppliers on monthly ratings, Supplier Issue Tracking Reports, and issues that arise on a continued basis


Qualifications:


+ 2+ years experience in purchasing/buying, ideally within a manufacturing environment

+ Knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, and inventory management methodologies

+ Strong Microsoft Excel and ERP skills

+ Effective interpersonal skills

+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

+ Demonstrated problem solving and negotiating skills

+ Excellent communication skills
