CAR T Cell Therapy Development Technician



The manufacturing technician is responsible for producing innovative biotherapeutic medicine by interfacing with highly automated production systems in a cGMP manufacturing environment.



You will have the exciting opportunity to participate in both the manufacture and process development of T-cells and multiple other cell therapy products within a GMP environment.



The unique duties of this position will primarily consist of manufacturing primary human cells including activities that involve graft engineering for cellular therapies as well as supporting the development of scalable cell culture processes. Furthermore, you will be responsible for completing successful qualifications and ongoing support procedures for clean room operations and assisting in the development, writing, and review of SOPs, material specifications, standard manufacturing procedures, batch records and other GMP documentation.



-This position will be in a clean room environment. Employees should expect to wear full-body PPE bunny suit and follow strict anti-contamination procedures. They may be asked to spend long periods of time in the clean room.



-Candidates should be flexible on schedule. Day and night shifts will vary by 3 hours.



Requirements: Bachelor s degree in biological science or related discipline Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GMP or clean room manufacturing environment.



Preferred: Experience with cell culture and aseptic/closed system processing and Biologics production experience



Must have ability to handle more than one task at a time and must work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to gown-in and out for clean room activities and perform cell manipulations in BSC.



This job is performed in a temperature controlled facility. Generally, this job is performed in a sanitized laboratory setting and routinely uses standard medical and research equipment such as centrifuges, biosafety cabinets, microscopes, incubators, pipettes and computers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to blood, viruses, bacteria, body fluids and other tissues.
