**Cell Culture Scientist**


**GENERAL DESCRIPTION:**


To conduct and assist in the performance of in vitro studies.


**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:**


+ Set-up and conduct ELISA assays in accordance with Protocol and SOP's.

+ Responsible for daily flow cytometer maintenance and any troubleshooting.

+ Take the lead on flow cytometry analysis and interpretation.

+ Set-up and conduct in vitro experiments in accordance with Protocol and SOP's.

+ Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision.

+ Perform procedures under aseptic conditions.

+ Maintain cell lines.

+ Prepare test solutions in accordance with directions.

+ Meticulously maintain precise records of all experiments in accordance with good laboratory practices.

+ Assist in writing of reports.

+ Follow all safety requirements.

+ Ability to safely wear a respirator required.

+ Other duties as assigned.


**QUALIFICATIONS:**


B.S. or M.S. degree or equivalent experience; in laboratory animal medicine, toxicology, animal science or biology is preferred. One or more years of experience with standard acute toxicology tests desired, but not essential. 1 year of molecular biology experience is strongly preferred


The individual holding this position must be of the highest integrity and have a very strong sense of responsibility. He/she must be mature, well organized, capable of adapting to a broad spectrum of responsibilities and able to maintain meticulous and accurate records. Humane treatment of all animals and adherence to good laboratory practices (GLP) is of utmost importance.
