Description Kelly Scientific Resources is currently recruiting for an innovative and motivated MD or PhD-level scientist (Director/Sr. Director level) to lead a highly innovative cell therapy program. This position is direct hire and offers a solid relocation package.

The successful candidate is expected to have a deep understanding of T-cell biology, immunology and working familiarity with the molecular pathways driving immune responses. Extensive knowledge of T-cell-based immunotherapy strategies is highly desirable. Working knowledge of industrial product discovery and development is a plus. Further, a familiarity with the tumor microenvironment and combination therapies is preferred. The successful candidate will work closely with antibody discovery group and manufacturing colleagues to jointly define an R&D strategy for innovative cell therapy. The individual will champion to identify assets and partners to drive a cell therapy project pipeline against liquid and solid tumors with unmet medical needs. The successful incumbent will report to the President and will be based in Boston, MA USA.

Specific Job Duties


+ Developing and implementing cell therapy R&D strategy. Capitalize on access to assets on a global scale, especially in north America, Europe and Japan.
+ Through closely collaboration or acquisition gain access to assets or companies with high commercial potential
+ Partner with R&D colleagues throughout the world to build development capabilities.
+ Work closely with manufacturing and commercial colleagues to ensure product transfer.
+ Design, construct, evaluate and optimize new vectors for T cell therapies.
+ Supervise a research team to develop new T cell therapies based on our novel inducible platforms.
+ Develop cell-based in vitro models and animal models to assess anti-tumor specificity, efficacy and safety of gene-modified T cells.
+ Prepare technical reports summarizing experimental results.
+ Interact with other departments to align methods and coordinate efforts towards clinical trials.
Skills, Minimum Education, and Experience


+ PhD or MD degree with focus in Immunology, Cell Biology or Genetics with a strong background in molecular and cellular immunology.
+ At least 10 years of relevant industrial or academic experience.
+ Proven ability to lead cross functional, international, high performance teams.
+ Experience with molecular cloning techniques, mammalian cell culture (particularly 1° immune cells) and use of viral vectors to introduce genetic material into cells is strongly preferred.
