Description Kelly Services has some exciting opportunities for you in the Charlotte, NC area with one of our best clients! We are currently seeking 4 experienced Chemical Material Handlers for long term temporary positions.

We are in search of candidates that will participate in an empowered team environment, including the ability to effectively communicate, share information, resolve issues, give and receive both positive and critical feedback in a respectful and professional manner.

Candidates need to be extremely safety minded, follow all safety policies and procedures and use proper PPE as directed. The candidates we are pursuing will arrive on time for shifts, have excellent communication skills and perform their job duties to satisfactory levels in support of the site team. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in warehouses of manufacturing environments using forklifts.

**Location** : Charlotte, NC

**Hours:** 12 hour Rotation shifts – 2 weeks the AM shift and then 2 weeks the PM shift

(6:30am to 6:30pm and then 6:30pm to 6:30am) every other weekend off

**Pay rate** : $16.00 an hour

Chemical Material Handlers, in cooperation with others, are responsible for the following tasks:

+ Operating a drum line to fill and package drums and totes with finished product
+ Taking samples
+ Filtering finished product per production schedule and procedures
+ Loading and unloading tank trucks and railcars
+ Spotting tank trucks using a yard spotter
+ Operating a forklift
+ Perform Housekeeping as required.
+ Attends/completes training as directed.
+ Participates in Root Cause Investigations and volunteers for corrective actions.
+ Cleans equipment as needed.
+ Works a rotating shift that includes afternoons, nights, and weekends.
**Required Qualifications:**

+ High School Diploma or GED is **_required_**
+ Technical Associates degree or higher is desired
+ Able to read, write and comprehend documents in English on paper and the computer screen.
+ Able to learn a documented work process and apply it consistently.
+ Able to hear well.
+ Able to use Microsoft Office tools at a basic level.
+ Able to perform manual labor, climb stairs and ladders, lift 50 lb, operate manual valves, and stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
+ Must meet medical/fit test requirements for using respiratory protection.
+ Must meet Individual Physical requirements for High Work, which includes but not limited to ladders and personal fall protection per OSHA standards for equipment.
+ Must pass an Ergonomic Assessment through Health Services.
+ MUST have a valid Driver's License
+ A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or Qualifying Asylee/Refugee).
**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Two years or more logistics or chemical industry experience is preferred
+ Two years or more forklift experience
