Description **Chemical Operator / Compound / Mixer - (Aerospace), Long Beach CA**

We have an exciting opportunity for Chemical Operator/Compound/Mixer to work with an establish client in South Bay, CA area in the Aerospace field.

**Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm and Saturday 7:00 am - 12:00 pm**

**Summary:** The chemical operator/compound/mixer will operates, regulates, and monitors continuous flow or batch reactor units and auxiliary equipment to produce chemical products

**Responsibilities:**


+ Loads raw material into the machine, manually operates, varying and modifying the cycle, and unloads the finished product.
+ Receives specific work instructions orally or from log sheets and acts according to standard practices.
+ Monitors gages and recording instruments and adjusts valves and controls to regulate temperatures, pressures, concentration of solutions and flow of chemicals through the process systems for prescribed reaction within critical limits, according to log sheets and based on prior experience with equipment/process.
+ Performs laboratory tests on in-process and finished products. Transfers materials from one drum to another. Moves finished products to tank farm and loads bulk products into tank trucks.
+ Fill out batch ticket and any other production forms.
+ Assists in unloading raw materials, minor maintenance, and general cleanup work.
+ May provide instruction and direction to less experienced operators and trainees who assist in processing operations.
**Job Requirements:**


+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ 1-2 years experience working as a Chemical operator or Chemical Blender
