_Kelly Services is currently hiring an Operator for an onsite opportunity with a multinational Oil and Gas company!_

**Pay Rate** : $20-$22/Hr

**Duration** : 1 year

**SUMMARY**

This role is an opportunity to be part of a team responsible for delivering research and specialist technical service including fundamental and exploratory studies in chemistry and catalysis, materials synthesis and characterization

**Job Duties**


+ Perform to the required standards with responsibility for an assigned scope of laboratory facilities, with personal responsibility for the safety and well-being of everyone around them.
+ Operation of bench- and pilot-scale laboratory equipment, including direct hands-on manual operation and use of industrial automation software (eg. iFIX).
+ Operation of benchtop analytical equipment used for analysis of solids and liquids.
+ Hands-on execution of laboratory experimental programs, including unit configuration, sample preparation, analysis and testing, liaising with CoE - ACP members and specialist analytical services as appropriate to carry out agreed work programs.
+ Record experimental data and disseminate timely and accurate results as needed in support of CoE - ACP engineers and chemists.
+ As appropriate, maintain apparatus/equipment in operable condition, performing “first line” maintenance.
**Required Skills:**


+ Experience in operating high pressure and high temperature petroleum hydroprocessing pilot plants
+ Working experience in handling petroleum residues and other petroleum products
+ Good knowledge about computer controlled operation of pilot units
+ Hands on experience for the maintenance of various mechanical equipments such as pumps, compressors and valves
+ Good interpersonal relationship to work in a team
+ Experience with pilot plants that handle hydrocarbon liquids and gases at elevated temperature and pressure is preferred.
+ Familiarity with chromatographic methods and thermal analytic methods (eg. thermogravimetric analysis – TGA) considered a plus.
+ Due to the mission of the CoE – ACP, strong discipline and attention to detail is a plus
Preferred/Desirable Skills and Qualifications:


+ The Operator will be responsible for the safe execution of a variety of experimental work. Ability to work flexibly with multiple pieces of laboratory equipment is preferred, with practical experience in laboratory operations and benchtop analytical techniques. Experience in both of the following areas is desirable:
