Description **Kelly Scientific is looking for experienced and responsible chemical operators for a 3rd shift opportunity in Wickliffe, OH.**

The schedule is a gem:

6pm-6am, Monday, Tuesday. OFF Wednesday Thursday, 6pm-6am Friday through Sunday. Following week, OFF Monday-Tuesday, 6pm-6am Wednesday-Thursday, OFF Friday-Sunday.

**Chemical Operator - Scientific -**

The chemical operator will perform a leaching process followed by hydrolysis and precipitation on a large scale.

**Primary duties:**

+ Load reactors with raw materials using a forklift
+ Dissolve crystals in solvent
+ Start and control the precipitation process according to the instructions.
+ Filter solution over presses by pumping
+ discharge the filter cake and clean the filter presses
+ Operate the dryer.
+ Use blending equipment to produce finished products
+ package appropriately in super sacks.
**Other duties:**

+ Packaging and Transfer of raw materials, intermediate products and consumables around the production department and the warehouse, using forklift/hand truck.
+ Load and unload materials, parts, or products manually or by mechanized means.
+ Assist in other production, maintenance and warehouse areas as directed.
**Functional requirements**

+ Education: High school diploma is required, or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience Associate certification or 2 years of college or equivalent education is preferred

+ Proficiency in mathematic, fractions, percentages, and weights.

+ strong grasp of chemical processes as outlined above

+ basic skills using computers
+ Minimum of 1-2 years work experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
+ Forklift experience is desired, but willing to train/certify is acceptable
+ Physically able to wear a respirator required in designated areas
+ Able to perform physical tasks such as handle weights materials, operate valves
+ Knowledge of safety requirements and practices is desired Knowledge of hazardous materials handling is a plus.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Able to follow strictly and accurately all instructions written
+ attention to detail
+ Experience in the use of machinery and hand tools
+ Strong sense of responsibility
+ Focus on safety, health and environment
+ Hands-on mentality; Eager to work hard
+ Ability to work overtime as needed
